Hello, I have done a search for this problem, but couldn’t find any info.
We have a new to us caravan, that we are using for the first time. We had it serviced a couple of weeks ago and this problem was found. The grill lights and sometimes will stay lit for 10 seconds or so, other times as soon as you let go of the knob it goes out. We have cleaned it, and noticed the middle of the burners flames are either non-existent or very small. Is it an easy job to remove the burner? Or is the problem something else? TIA for any advice.

Do not attempt working on any gas appliance yourself. Leave it to the professionals. When a caravan is serviced they only check the appliance and do not service a gas appliance as that is an extra.
What is the year, model and brand of caravan and what brand of over does it have fitted?
Sounds like you may have more than one problem there. The flames should be reasonably even all along, so could be blocked jets from debris or rust.
As to not staying alight, assuming you are holding knob in for a few seconds, long enough for the flame detector to heat up! Otherwise the sensor could have become dislodged and is no longer in the flame, or maybe the blocked jets compromise the flame where the sensor is situated, then of course the sensor itself could have failed.
As mentioned above, tinkering with gas appliances best left to a professional. As you ask the question, it rather implies your own knowledge is inadequate to tinker safely. Far too easy to render the appliance unsafe from gas leak and/or poor combustion and Carbon Monoxide production by amateur tinkering for us to encourage you to continue.
Thanks for info. My husband does work with gas burners, but he’s never worked on a caravan oven and we wondered how best to tackle it. Obviously if it needs taking apart we would get a professional in to see to it. We wondered if it was an easy fix really. He knows his limitations. We did think there may be a blockage in the centre of the burner as the flames aren’t equal all along, We gave it a clean to see if there was a blockage of grease or rust first. The flames were slightly longer afterwards. Yes we are holding the knob in for a few seconds. It’s the same on our Folding camper of which we are seasoned campers.
Iank01 it is an Sprite Abby 4 2010. Can’t look at the oven model at the moment.

I suggest first testing to see if the heating and fridge work on gas. You may have a faultyt bulkhead regulator as they are known to be problematic due to oil contamination in the rubber hose.
Thanks again for thoughts. We tried holding the knob in for longer than 30 seconds, I was hoping that was the problem, but no. We have run the fridge and heating on the gas, there weren’t any problems with either. 🫤
Had the same problem a while ago.
Managed to get a mobile engineer to check it out and and it turned out to be a blocked gas feed pipe. Had to take the cooker out to get access to it.
Could be that if the middles flames are small or non existent them they may not be heating up the flame failure thermocouple. That's why it goes out.
Sounds like blocked holes in the burner. Had to clear them on my barbeque this year.Easy to clean with an appropriate sized twist drill. Gauge the size of the drill from the unblocked holes, don't make them larger than original.
Don't touch the jet though, the small brass fitting with a tiny hole. That sets the correct gas/air mixture, most important for safe combustion.
Try by passing the safety switch on the grill door that cuts the flame off if you close the door with he flame still lit. I checked mine with a tester and the switch appeared to work as it should but in situ it was faulty. As soon as i bridged the connectors it worked fine and has done for the last 2 years. I just make sure i turn the gas off before i close the grill door,like i do at home or everywhere else i use a grill,lol
