Hi all,
was wondering what sheets/duvet covers people put on their fixed beds whether singles or doubles? Do you try and match the colour with the soft furnishings of the caravan or do you just bung whatever on lol. We will have 2 fixed bunks in our van and i've been looking to see what to put on them.....really want them to look nice as they will always be made up when caravan is in use. Our caravan will be primarily brown, cream and white.
We have a fixed bed and use a double flat sheet and duvet.
And I'm a real fusspot about everything matching, even down to the octopus my mum is kindly knitting me to sit on the bed in caravan, I gave her one of the pillow slips to carry around with her when she was looking for the wool. All ways been the same even as a young girl my mum says my ribbons in my hair had to match what ever I had on.
------------- After living in my beloved van in Spain for a number of years, I
We brought the optional bedding for our fixed bed unicorn from the Bailey website.
------------- Easter - Burford
May - WoodFarm Dorset
June - IOW
Aug - can't decided
October - Yorkshire
Plus many more weekends at every possible chance!
We just use a normal duvet, but have fitted sheets from this company. Although the Egyptian Cotton is expensive, it is excellent quality and well worth the money.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Awww sounds like me nov02. Oh a little octopus to sit on the bed....so cute I have to be honest the vans i've been in with the beds made up look absolutely lovely and so would prefer to do similar. Its just trying to find bed linen that will do the van justice and not look OTT or out of place. I bet your van with the bailey unicorn bedding looks absolutely fab Have seen them made up and they are seriously lovely. Show home style HAHAA Just glad to know that i'm not being too faffy thinking about how my beds look!! Just frustrating in knowing what to buy....whether to buy matching duvet sets in colour and/or with designs or whether to keep it clean and crisp with whites and then use a runner and a cushion to add some style and colour.....gosh....i don't think this is going to be an easy job....but one i'm going to enjoy haahaa!! You should all post photo's of your beds....to give me some inspiration lol.
Thanks for the link blueexpo97, will give that a look
I bought duvet covers to match from dunelm in a sale.
They are lovely. But I tend to put a throw on them in the day. We have two singles so use single fitted sheets and single duvets.
Yes they must match. I also by throws in cream or white from ikea or dunelm for my seats . I'm more fussy in the van than at home.
If I had beds that were staying up tjrough they day I would have to match them and co-ordinate them with the rest of the caravan furnishings. Instead of white you could always get some plain bedding sets in a co-ordinating colour with the rest of the furnishings and a couple of cushions to finish off. I would also try Dunhelm Mill you can pick up some good bargains there and I do believe they have a sale on at the moment.
Good Luck Twurly
ps let us know what you decide
------------- You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only option!
We use a double fixed sheet and duvet set, I bought online, just put into google cream, brown duvet sets and got hundreds to choose from, think it was about £14.00 and it looks lovely.
We used knig size duvet as the double bed is huge once set up and everything in our van has to match from bedding curtins cushions to kettle to tea towels and dish cloths lol

It's nice to be important but its more important to be nice

Adopt a rescue, rescue dogs make great pets, don't support puppy farms.
The road can be tough and rough, but what you put in you get back 10 x more.
We are totally unmatched! A fixed double bed and hub has a mishmash of sheets and blankets, depending on warmth. I sleep always, come rain or shine, under a 4.5 duvet (and at home we're the same).
Covered during the day with a satiny cream single bedspread, a knockdown Laurence Bowen throw thingie at the end of the bed and some matching pillows. Sort of brings it all together!!
I have an adria too in shades of brown and cream. I bought matching duvet covers, of all places, in Argos. They are plain brown but different shades each side. I'd say a chocolate and a taupe. Match my curtains perfectly.
We have fixed single beds and wife bought matching duvet covers, sheets and pillow cases from somewhere but I know not where. I think they match the van but I am a man and don't notice these things. We have 2 sets as we are more or less living in our van at the moment.
