We have a Truma Motor Mover fitted to our Adria Altea. When new it was all fine but when they fitted it (and apologies I have no idea what it is) there is a flashing red LED that is going all the time. We never used to have a problem with our battery but now it's always flat when we go to the van (it's in storage) so we've taken to disconnecting the battery now. When we took it in for a service we asked them to put an isolation switch in so we could turn it off, but they said this wouldn't be draining the battery. The battery has probably had it now because it's gone flat so many times but sorry for the long story I have two questions:
1. Would the led flashing be enough to discharge the battery - sometimes the van can be set there for a two months or so before we use it.
2. The Motormover has stopped working now too - the sender unit doesn't seem to connect to the remote - it clicks as though it's going to works for a few seconds and then stops. Can any one advise what is wrong with it please?
I don't know how much power it's using all I know is that we never used to have any problems with the battery being flat (there is nothing else on the Adria Caravan that would could possibly drain the battery whilst it's in storage)
I am also concerned about the Motor Mover as it won't work, I think it might the Remote control or the Sender unit but how would I know which is not working. Any one help with this one?
There should be information in handbook re flashing lights indicating fault, or maybe on control unit itself. There may be a reset on there as well. My mover which is not a Truma has an isolation switch fitted.

can't say to much as my 'eye' is missing on my keyboard! however, chicken and egg i think, knacked battery so the mover cannot work, not at the moment the other way round!!
Truma/Carver controls have isolating relays so don't need manual switches

Thanks but how do I stop the LED from flashing all the time without disconnecting the battery all the time?

You can't.
Truma movers come with an isolation switch that separates the leisure battery from the mover. If it's not got one, i would get one fitted.
I for one wouldn't want to leave it powered up all the time
Hi. We have a truma s mover fitted to our bailey indiana. Always worked fine but stopped working halfway through putting back on the drive. Battery is full. Also have changed batteries in handset. Still not working, any ideas
We have a Truma S,always been a bit hit and miss switching it on as to whether it receives a signal or not. I plug the van in for 3 or 4 days before each trip, spent £120 on a new battery, still only just about manage to get the van off the drive and move it 30 foot down the road,by then its given up the ghost. To be fair to Truma, I sent them the hand set and pcb. They checked them out, free of charge and posted them back to me.It has an isolating switch,if it doesnt get a signal, turn isolator off and on and try again.
By the time Wev'e got to a site the car has usualy charged it up enough to use again should we need it.
Hi sharon. We have disconnected battery today then reconnected and still nothing. At a loss what to do. Any help appreciated. Thank you
Hi bungle, thanks for that. Sounds like we may have prob with signal. Where is the isolator switch as we cant find it. And nothing in the truma handbook. Also sharon, where is the fuse?? as may be that as well.
Hi ours is a grey box about 13 inch x 7 under the front seat on the left.at the top right hand corner is a small button and a led light red,the side of the box lifts-up and inside that is all the wires plus the fuse. hope this helps.we are off at 0930 to get our fuse they open at 1000 fingers crossed.
good luck
sharon
