anyone added one of theese to the list of stuff we end up lugging around ? I was thinking of something light and not too thick so the ridges of the up turned cushions dont dig in you and give a comfier nights sleep....if so best buy ?...thanks

Dunelm Mill Rebound Matress Topper - Double £30 - this is not a memory foam. We have only tried it out once since purchase and it was very, very comfortable. It is a little bulky but fairly lightweight, don't know whether it will be hot in high temperatures as I gather some of the memory foam ones are.
Will be trying it out again tomorrow, pity the weather is changing - story of our lives!
Tip i was given was to turn cushions upside down then you're laying on a flat surface. Our bed was very comfortable and we had no complaints. My daughter did say her bed was too hard though might see if I can get a single mattress topper.
------------- I went to the top of the mountain...and looked over the other side!
Double mattress topper from argos, we cut it in two and made covers with cheap duvet cover. This means we can use on singles, store under cushions during the day and easier to roll up and store in under seat boxes.
I got a single one last year from B&M. Think it was £24. I was suffering back ache after two nights in the van, by the end of the week I was getting up at 4 am because I was in agony! It has helped somewhat and I do sleep longer. Having said that OH sleeps like the dead on the duvet cover we use as a topper and was adamant he didn't want memory foam as well, which is why I just bought a single Incidentally I haven't found it too warm, and as a woman of a certain age () I am very sensitive to such things!
------------- Im no cactus expert, but I know a prick when I see one!
Used to use a memory foam topper which was very good but a bit awkward to store so used an ordinary mattress topper last weekend and it was great much easier to store, so the memory foam has now gone on the bed in the house
Just bought a Silentnight single mattress topper off fleabay (not a memory foam one but it is a decent thickness and looks good quality). Cost £13.95 with free postage and comes with a sturdy zip up storage bag. They also had doubles and king size but not sure of the price on those.
Got the single one for the eldest who is off to Uni in September and didn't fancy sleeping directly on the mattress so many others had used!!!
I am now thinking of getting a double bed sized topper for the van.
I have put loose covers on my two beds, placed the foam toppers on the top of the beds, then covered the lot with the loose covers. So I don't have to find somewhere to store these, they just stay on top of the beds and we sit on them. Makes for a more comfortable sitting area as well.
Previous to having fitted covers, I just put a throw over the lot and tucked it in and we sat on that instead of trying to roll up the foam and store it somewhere during the day.
Raskelf Duvalays if you can stand the expense. We needed new sleeping bags and the seating foam was too hard so bought 2 Duvalays and now we sleep in much later.
