Hi
I've just purchased a 2008 honda crv diesel having covered 50,000 miles with a manual gear box. I find that my gear changes are sometimes quite notchy almost like the clutch needs to be depressed a fraction more to aid a smooth change. This tends to be mainly in the lower gears. Other times every thing changes nice and smooth. I'm now questioning my driving ability. I don't have any problems in our passat cc or my old faithful Mondeo estate. Has anyone any thoughts thanks Dixie.
It may be that you are changing at too high revs in the lower gears, let the revs drop a little or change at a slower rate,or try double declutching, not promising it will cure the problem but a cheap try
I too have heard that this 'notchyness' (if that's a word) is a shortcomming of models around that time and that it has been resolved on the next two models.
