When I take delivery of my new caravan I would prefer to keep it.
I have a Stronghold hitch lock and I will be purchasing an Al-Ko secure wheel lock.
Any more suggestions? Corner steady locks? Trackers?
I want to make it ad difficult as possible for the thief, without breaking the bank or it taking me an age to lock and unlock

Without breaking the bank is the hard part of that. There are no end of locks, trackers, etc on the market, if you want to save a bit of money look for second-hand, from here in the ads section or ebay, etc.
Taking an age to unlock is the second thing which won't happen, the more you have locked onto it, the more time it will take to undo all the locks.
So you can either have lots of locks, etc and have to take more time over unlocking, or less locks and less time unlocking.
Similarly you can spend any amount of money on locks for every bit of your van, but it might break the bank!
try adding it to your house alarm, if you have one, if you keep it by the house. It does not cost a fortune to have an external plug fitted. Everything to deter the scum!
It takes me 15 + minutes to unlock our caravan and I do not mind because it is still there when I want it.two £100 wheel clamps.hitch lock.alarm.ground anchor at the front chain going over the chassis under the A frame with a top quality lock and heavy chain.two ground anchors on the wall at the rear with heavy locks and chains through the legs.CCTC looking at the front of the van.they would need to work hard to get it.it is just a case of slowing them down and the chance of being seen may put them off.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
As Manty above add to house alarm if stored at home, or indoor alarmed coassa gold storage site.
Why break into alarmed and monitored indoor storage when there is easier pickings outside.
It takes us ages, too, unlocking and removing all the security. The security posts cemented into the drive and CCTV give a feeling of security but I'm sure that if someone has targeted your van and with enough time etc they could remove all the devices and cut through the posts with a grinder. I hope that the neighbors would notice all the 'action' and call the police...
My caravan is stored on my parents drive, connecting to house alarm or CCTV are not options at the moment. I like the idea of a ground anchor and a nice big cable or chain around the axle. Are there any alarms available which will send a text message to my phone? that way I could go and meet the C**ts as they were moving it.(where did this length of scaffold tube come from?)
having seen the aftermath of a pre bank holiday weekend takeaway ,rest assured there is virtually no such thing as a foolproof locking system ,a tracker might work "but would you want it back afterwards" there's not much to deter them about the only thing that did work was a forward facing ground spike attached from inside the caravan ,even with that one they trashed the caravan interior in spite as they couldn't steal it .
there is no real answer as if they want it they will have it .no names ,RACES, or creeds used THEY will have to suffice but i,m sure we all know who THEY are
My own opinion is that if they really, really want it they will take it, regardless of what else you put on it. If they go to the bother of getting past your current security measures they are seriously wanting it. Just make sure its well enough insured.
I have serious misgivings about trackers. I have heared of people disconnecting them and not being informed. I also know someone who completely removed a tracker to go on his new caravan. He called the tracking company afterwards about transferring it and enquired about the position of his caravan to be told that had lost track of it a week ago (when the tracker was removed) but their system hadn't picked up on it. Needless to say his subscription was terminated immediately.
Hi Tony, I was in Aldi today and spotted a pir activated Day/Night vision camera that will call your mobile or send you an e mail if it detects movement in the area you select.
