Weather warnings issued for strong wind in the North, we are in west yorkshire an its really blustery. Been to check the awning on seasonal pitch at York all ok but a couple on site have come down. Dont think i will rest tonight until it the winds drop

I hate it when its like that, I was up nearly all night last weekend while in the caravan because the wind was up. I just hope and pray, I did put two ratchet straps over the top of mine on the weekend mind so fingers crossed.

I have put an extra storm strap on an some stronger pegs so fingers crossed, one awning that came down on the site has made a right mess all down the side of a brand new bailey carvan!

Yes really wild near Malton. Glad we didn't put up the awning when we arrived. Not letting up. Surprised there have been no severe weather warnings.

Sat here in my living room and doors are rattling!! Really blustery outside, van is stored on fairly shelteed site so fingers cossed. Weather warning just given out on BBC. Hope all of you out there tonight stay safe.

Been at the 'van in North Yorkshire since Monday to put the awning up but came home today and will try again Sunday. I'm in Newcastle now and it is really wild.

Wonderful! Love it when it`s windy. Shame about the rain, mind,. And the dog needs taking out . . . . Just got back from Skipton. Very wild; there wasn`t an awning in sight. . . .we were the only caravanners on sight come to think of it . . .that`s why there were no awnings.

been upto the van in storage this morning which is 4 miles away and seen 2 people towing on way there/back, I was amazed as it's really windy/gusty or am I too cautiously minded?

On a site just outside Blackpool. Took the awning down on Tuesday afternoon as the forecast wasn't looking to good. Glad we did, last night was not very comfortable at all. I am at work now and can hardly keep my eyes open, fortunately I do not operate machinery apart from my P.C.

Back to the seasonal pitch again this morning, well looked like a war zone Awnings were blown over the top of caravans, some just flapping in the wind!

Luckily ours was still standing, i am still here now just keeping an eye on it, if it does not calm down i will have to take it down to be safe, only problem is all the stuff inside an finding somehwere for it

Anyone know when the winds are supposed to die down?
