Hi, i've just noticed today that my middle front window on my compass caravan has seperated about twelve inches along the bottom of the perspex unit, looking at it I think it will be an easy repair to do if I completely seperate the two parts but what i'd like to know is what materials do you use to re seal the window and has anybody else done this repair at home successfully as I guess the stealerships will charge a fortune as per usual.
Just use a clear glue like Bostick. I wouldn't separate the halves though, just wedge separated section apart with matchsticks & spread glue between halves with knife. Then hold together with bulldog clips. Worked for me & its still ok after a couple of yrs.
