Best way to clean the outside of the van skylights please. When cleaning the van today I noticed little pinhead black dots on the skylight. Have tried the extending brush and hot water with shampoo, but not much luck in shifting them. Any ideas.
These wee dots polished off the parts of the roof I could reach, with a bit of elbow grease.

i use pvc cream cleaner, suppose jiff will do the job, i just put a scoffold board across the roof then i can get right above to clean properly without putting any wheight or stress on roof, hope this helps

Are the marks definitely on the outer skin of the roof-light? I had something similar some time ago and found the marks were on the inside of the dome and I could only access by dismantling the window altogether. This sounds extreme, but in practice is a straightforward job and the result was far superior that just cleaning the outer dome.
Which roof-lights are they, the standard twin-sprung handle type or something different?
Yes black marks are definitely on the outside of the window. The window has two gas struts and a one piece handle.
