hi can anyone advice us we have booked to go away at easter, on a superpitch but because off the weather we are unsure to use the hosepipe or use the water barrel incase the pipes freeze because of the temps at night..
We plan on disconnecting the mains pipe overnight and emptying it, and having the aquaroll wrapped in a blanket. Shouldn't need any water overnight anyway.
We've got a 5litre water container too, that we'll keep for emergency use.
Empty the barrel overnight bring the pump inside and fill the kettle for the morning and dont forget to empty the wastemaster a Wastemaster shaped ice cube will not thaw very quickly !
Just back from 4 nights in North Norfolk on a Superpitch. I covered the aquaroll in an old quilted jacket with the waterpump connected to the caravan up through one of the sleeves. Despite the cold and a strong bitter wind, plus a bit of snow nothing froze and that includes the waste pipe !!! Icicles formed where those irritating drips occur though !!
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
