We are looking at getting a used Ventura Marlin porch awning for our old Abi Sprinter caravan, but wondered if the sloping roof will cause any issues? I will attach a picture of the caravan for reference, thanks for reading!

I'd say there is little difference between fitting a porch awning on a straight roofed van but sloping pitch and a sloping roofed van and a level pitch. One end wall will have more slack than the other. The 'ridge' in the roof shouldn't be sufficient to be a problem.
Only time it may become problematic is if the pitch slopes (the wrong way -opposite to roof slope!) and you may find too much slack in the end wall to peg out properly.
Most awnings have a bit of latitude of a few inches on wall to ground fit (filled by the mud skirts), and many have ladder straps or adjustable straps to account for variations, so chances are it will work, but no guarantees without a trial run.

My caravan has the same shaped roof and because of the slope it did cause issues with rain water pooling on the roof. The rear end was fine where the roof was straight but where it just started to taper down was where the roof lost support and heavy down pours created a major problem. I always used a 260 porch awning and the first two awnings I had, the flexible poles pushed through the roof loops so the roof was hanging and supported by the poles which is what was causing the roof pooling. I thought about it and common sense told me that the poles need to be under the roof for full support so I purchased a 260 air awning. First time out we encountered some heavy rainfall but glad to say that the problem was cured. I'm not saying that an air awning is the solution but that whatever awning you choose it is best to opt for one with the roof poles underneath the awning roof.

My very old caravan has a sloping front roof and I've had no problem at all with both porch and full awnings. Only awning I did have problems with was an air-porch-awning. For one thing it was far too heavy for us to manage as it came all in one piece (we are in our 70s and with back problems), and for another thing we found it tended to collapse in strong winds.

Well we've had the awning up no probs so far, however as we're currently on a site in France and it's hotter than the sun I don't think we'll be able to test what it's like in the rain!!
