We use a small fan heater. If you are on a per night charge for electric why worry about cost?

Surely the heater already in the van should be enough in most circumstances? However if you wanted some silent overnight heat I would suggest a 1km oil filled rad.

"1km", that should go a long way to warming your van

We have a small oil filled radiator it stays on all the time unless we go out we also have a small fan heater to put on just to get the van warm then the rad keeps it toasty the fan heater also blows out cold air so good in the summer if we get one lol.

It depends on the temperature outside and the amount of insulation you have in the caravan but 1kW oil filled should be ok most of the time although in very cold weather I would be wanting 2kW (2 x 1kW) to keep warm and provide an even heat distribution to each end of the caravan and bathroom.
