We are thinking of going to the I.O.W. in spring but are not sure about towing the caravan off/on ferry (fishbourne/Portsmouth) does anyone know if its a very steep slope up from the ferry to land? Thanks for any info/advice

we've done that crossing twice, the second time with a caravan and it was absolutely fine. My husband was concerned like you but it really was absolutely fine.

Great venue, we did it just over a year ago, we spent the night on a campsite a couple of miles from the terminal, just in case the were traffic issues. Added to the adventure. All of the island is great, highly recommended.

We did it last year with twin axle van + 4x4 our friends twin axle van + Audi A8 and more friends with a single axle van and Chrysler voyager and we all did it with no problem..

We go nearly every year and have found it easy you just drive on the ferry one end and then when you arrive you leave the other end of the ferry
