You see plenty of these sort of awnings on seasonal caravans on the continent. I think they are just left up permanently. Some seem to be made to order by smaller local manufacturers.
i can see that they'd have their uses not so sure i'd want one though but not going to show my OH she'd have one in a second and we don't even have a seasonal pitch, am dreading our visit to the caravan show on the 19th

Got to admit I bet the awning is s bit special.
I would pay a profesional to put it up though, a local chap charges £75 to come and bob your awning up and clean it.
Quite worth while if you are seasonal
