My uncle has decided he can no longer afford to go abroad twice a year so has decided to invest in a caravan again. He isnt a novice but hasn't owned or towed a van for over 15 years.
Anyway he has seen 2 vans for sale in his price range, both baileys. One is a 2006 ranger and the other is a 2006 pageant both exactly the same price and have almost the same extras. He has asked me what the difference is between the two, but having never owned a Bailey, I can't offer a fair opinion.
So over to the good people on here, all advice will be appreciated.

Hi we have owned both a 2000 Bailey ranger 470 & a 2005 pageant province and found them both to be good caravans. But the pageant was of a higher spec. We only sold this van due to a damp problem. Upon investigating the damp problem it seems alot of baileys have had damp problems with damp getting in through airline cracks in the front/back panels leading to costly repairs.
so just make sure you get a full damp report which ever one you go for.
ah well after all that he has decided to buy an elddis instead.he has bought a lovely firestorm 534 with a fixed bed 1 previous owner and utterly spotless.hes left a deposit on it,and collects it on friday,as he needs to change his towball and get the cash out the bank.
might even ask if i can get a shot lol

My mate has an 03 Pageant. It had bad damp on the back end last year leading to quite a big rebuild. They offered something like 3 years guarantee for not a lot of money, which he took up. 12 months on, the damp is back in the very same place - around the join across the back panel Its going back in again next week. Bet they regret offering the warranty now!
