Is invoice off same company? Maybe new company, land leased to them. Then they are not vat registered so dont charge, but increase charge to make more money. Suprising what you can do when you sit down with your accountants. Sorry its my suspicious nature....
Hi. the first figure is with VAT second is without so even though the figure seems to be cheaper to us which it is it is also a big increase on last year.
Just because a company is no longer VAT registered it doesn't mean that their prices will all drop by 20%! There are many other factors to take into consideration when deciding to be vat registered or not.
The end result is your fees have gone down this year and I'm sure not many people on here will be able to say that. it sounds like they have decided to de-register for VAT and your fees have gone down. Unless you are vat registered and were planning on claiming the VAT back somehow I cant really see what the problem is.
I presume you mean that if the VAT was taken off last year's £365 the basic figure would have been less than this year's £350? In which case you're right, there has been an increase, but if you look at it the other way round and the company were still charging VAT with an increase on the basic figure you would now have to pay more than £365. As it is, you're paying less than last year so what's the problem? Never look a gift horse in the mouth

The reason I ask about a " new company " now owning/ running storage is that would the new company be cassoa registered for insurance purposes. I know it may seem a bit daft but the old adage of, you are insured till you claim springs to mind. If its same company but no longer vat registered then all will be well and as other people have said your storage fees have gone down.
If the storage provider is no longer vat registered they will no longer be able to recover vat input i.e.
the vat charged to them by their suppliers. Their cost will have gone up if they have to absorb that vat so they have to charge more on the base price.
I doubt they have a lot of VAT input on the storage site but probably have other business interests.
Between £350 - 450 appears about the norm for a Cassoa site. A friend charges £300 for a non registered site in Wiltshire.
Our Cassoa storage reduced our yearly payment last year to £220. It was reduced as the owners are now not eligable to pay VAT. They re-organised the storage site to incoporate a couple of large fenced off area's for some horses to use and therefore reduced the amount of caravans they were able to get on and this made them below the VAT threshold so to their customers no Vat payable and no rise in the cost
