Hi folks, looking for some advice re draining pipes, cistern etc for cold snaps. We pick up our new van on Sunday, I previously had a F/camper so know about draining down in general. I have noticed for caravans there is a adapter for connecting a compressor to assist with removing all pockets of water that may otherwise remain. Is this now common practice or another fad that is not really needed. Thanks for any help.
I'm with Clever on this subject. The thread he's posted covers the home brew kit very well and you'd be suprised how much extra water this purges from the system; mine equates to roughly a pint.
You can never blow all the water out, but in my book if you can get the remainder at the absolute minimum possible, you can only be further reducing the chance of frost damage.
