We pick up our new (to us) Bailey Ranger on Friday.  Always tented but decided to have a change so now need to sell our camping gear.

Slightly nervous for the first tow!  But dead excited about all the little cupboards yay!!

Any advice greatfully recieved :o)

we're ex-tenters in a 'van too

 well at least my OH is, I kept one of our tents and few other 'essentials' , as me and a couple of mates still like to get the occasional  'lads' weekend away under canvass with-out the wive's 

Congratulations on your first caravan I hope you have many happy jaunts in it.  We were tenter’s for a few years then had to change to a caravan because of ill health and although we miss some things about the tent we much prefer being in the caravan.

Just take it steady on your first outing maybe don’t go too far away and don’t overload the van.

Welcome to the exciting world of caravanning. When collecting your caravan ask how things work and if still unsure ask again !!! As heas been said before take things steady, do not go too far away for the first trip and more importantly if you are unsure about anything.......just ask on here !!!! Its a great site with friendly people and they always will answer you !!!!

We are getting the 550/6 version. 

We liked the fixed bunk idea so we only have one bed to make instead of 3 every night.

Tad concerned about the escape artist terrior making a bolt before we can attach him to his tether in the mornings!!

Will def be a slow tow home and next weekend will be a local trial run.

They have said they will spend at least an hour showing us the ropes before we come away on Friday.

We will still be keeping one tent for festivals and the like!

I think i will be a pain in the bum bending your ears about all things caravan

Looking for a local site that we only have to go down wide straight roads hahahaha, Only problem may be the hill start at the top of our road eeeeeeeep!!!
