Ok i had a look on here as normally its a nightmare day and people end up on here complaining, but i couldnt find anything, i cant remember the last time i actually read the cc magazine.
Yep Bessie it's long gone, it was 9.00am on the 5th, I hope you didn't want to book anywhere really popular. Try going on the website next year late Nov/early Dec, it will give you the date there.
It was 5th Dec and I went on that day to book the sites I wanted. It was abit of a shambles but better than previous years as they restricted each member to one booking at a time, it took a while to get on the website as it was busy which is to be expected. Most of the popular BH dates for the popular sites are already booked up. I was lucky as managed to book Rowntree Park for a BH weekend, first time in 7 years of being a CC member that iv actually booked on for the dates I wanted! Hope you get what you want?

CC are so far behind with the times.
They invited all members to take part in a survey two years ago the result was that out of nearly 400000 members only 1200 replied of which less than 300 wanted any changes to the system. How interesting is that.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

As Bill has said they have already done that. You also have the opportunity as a member to join the Member Research Panel, 11000 members have so far, where you get regular surveys on a range of subjects. As an observation this years bookings seem to have gone reasonably smoothly and many members have got what they wanted.

I agree. We got what we wanted and I left it for a week We definitely don't want deposits.

David when you say 'Many members have got what they wanted' what's you information source for this please?
From anecdotal evidence from various forums, including the Club forum, where contributors have expressed the view that the booking process went reasonably well. The positive posts outnumber the negative a as far as I can tell.
nothing wrong with the system imo , you will never please all the people all the time , it works for us ,got what we wanted including new year 2013/14 and didnt bother logging on until evening.
