I'm new to the site and a total beginner in regards to caravanning so hello everyone. I have just bought my first caravan a Bailey 510/4 the van is in outstanding condition and everything seems to work fine as I have got 240 socket hooked up to the house. The only thing im really unsure about is how do I fill the water system and check it .I have all pipework and barrels ,im sorry if this is a stupid question but I have got to start somewhere thanks in advance.
Fill your barrel. Immerse the inlet end of the pump into the barrel and give it a shake to dislodge any trapped air. Plug the outlet of the pump into the 'van, turn on pump switch inside 'van, open taps in turn, starting with furthest from pump and bleed system through.
we have a bailey 500/5 2003,fill barrel to full as the heater takes a lot at first.place pump in first before fitting to caravan to stop airlocks.make sure the drain valve on your heater is closed.open both sets of taps on hot side first.switch on the pump at the control board, green light on.you will hear the pump filling the system.once you have a good flow at the hot taps push them over to cold and get the air out until you have a good flow of water.close taps, green light on control board should go out after a few seconds and only come on when a tap is opened.
any more questions on your bailey please ask.
you may need to top up your barrel after.
this is for a pressurised system or micro switch.
