We have recently purchased our first touring caravan after years of tenting. I have posted a message on here about a leak which we don't know where it is coming from as yet!! We were looking round van this weekend and the metal trims are looking very tatty it is 19 years old though but my husband is wondering if anyone has managed to make old trims look better and if so how? We are not confident enough to take the trims off and replace as we would not want more leaks. Any advice would be appreciated. Passed advice onto my hubby but he does not mean the chrome bits of trim but the plastic in between the chrome any advice on how to clean them up to make them look a bit better.
I take it by trims you mean the rails like the one that holds the awning?.You can polish them up with coarse "T"cut followed by the fine stuff,or "G" three made to cut car paint work.Apply a polish after.
