Can anyone answer me a few simple questions please ?
I have a Rallye Compass 634 2006 model with an onboard water tank,
1. On the control panel when the water switch is pressed is the water level shown the level in the on board holding tank or the water heater ?
2. The holding tank only has 1 feed pipe / inlet, does this pipe also return water to the water heater when running low and if so is this done automatically when the level drops in the water heater ?
3. When I draw water from my external water butt does the on board tank fill first and then feed the water heater or is the water heater filled first ?
4. Can you isolate the onboard tank and just feed the water heater direct from the external water butt ?
Sorry if this sounds stupid but we have been out in the van 3 times now and I am still unsure how it all works. When I get to the bottom of this I will start on the space heater and warm air blowers. The manual is a waste of time !!

We have a 2007 Supercyclone, so it's probably similar.
1.The water level indicator is the level on the inboard tank.
2. I always presumed the water heater draws from the inboard tank; having said that, I've never checked it! If you want I'll have a squint at mine tomorrow to see if I can identify a return pipe. The Truma manual says, "if just the cold water is being used, without water heater, the heater tank is also filled up with water."
3. Notwithstanding 2. above, they both seem to fill simultaneously; when I've started filling the system on site, if either one of the drain taps have been open the water has run out!
4. I asked the technicians at the dealer when our 'van was new, and they didn't seem to know! I've seen suggestions on the Internet how to do this, but when I've tried it didn't work, so I've always just filled the inboard tank and taken it from there.
I'll try to answer these. We had a Rally 550 so assume they would be the same

2. The water heater is filled from the on board tank it "asks" for it's own supply and has priority when filling up too

3. Water goes into the tank but immediately fills the water heater. Then the tank fills. Water heater has priority of any available water
4. Can you isolate the onboard tank and just feed the water heater direct from the external water butt ?
4. Yes. If you have the blue valve forward and the tank fill switch on it fills the tank. If you have the blue valve back wards and tank fill switched on it uses the butt.

Space heater is easy. on 2000 Put temp on wall to 7 put heater to between 3/4 and move the lever to the right. It will then keep an even temp and switch on and off itself. Middle position means only the fire is on. Left position is constant blower from the fire

i have the same van and the water system is giving me headache also. have u got to the bottom of your issues?
first time we went away in van the internal tank wouldn't hold water urges was sending it back thru the system to the aquaroll...so for 4 days we just had to use water from the aquaroll using the external pump, just switchingppower off to the pump when we wernt using it or it would buzz constantly. however all this time we had hot water whenever we needed it.
van went back to dealer after this trip and they fitted a new internal pump and non return valve.
went away last weekend filled the onboard tank and it stayed in , great...turn hot taps on to get air out and fill the heater and i just can't get any water at all to flow out of the hot water tap.
so not sure if im ment to fill from the aquaroll or the onboard tank? do i need to turn off the feed to the onboard in order to fill the water heater?
i did keep checking and the drain plug was in the right position.....help!!! haha
The hot water tank will take it's own supply from inboard tank or aqua roll which ever one your using.
I found our system very quirky.
If you put on the water heater before the hot water tank is completely full you won't get any hot water.Even if you've opened the taps and the water seems to be flowing freely to begin with. It's a pure pain. So try turning off the water heater. Wait 10 mins then open hot tap till water flows freely. WAIT till the tank fills up completely and only then put the heater back on. It worked for us but took a long time to figure out.
Just one of the things us caravaners encounter.To try our patience.

i will just mention we only went away for 2 nights last time and i had my 2 young nieces with me so didn't really get time to try and get to the bottom of it. im hoping i missed something simple
