We have just bought a 2010 Swift Conqueror 480 two berth caravan. We think it is brilliant and are looking forward to lots of time away in it.
How do I stop the alarm going off randomly?
It is parked in the road outside my house with the two rear corner steadies down and the from jockey wheel.
I've just been out, again, to turn off the alarm using the remote key fob thingy. Is there any easy way to stop this annoying my neighbours?
------------- We camped for years. In 2019 we bought an Elddis Avante 454. We like it as it is short (6.9m) and fits in our driveway and has a fixed bed.
We had 127 nights away in the caravan in 2023.
We have a 2009 Swift - the only problem we have had with it has been the alarm!! It has been back to the dealers twice for exactly the same reasons as you have said - randomly going off. We have even had new fobs. Ours is a Nordelectronica I think - it puts off using it!
We have a 2011 Swift, it seems to be sunlight through the big roof light raising the temperature in the van, I use a cover on mine and it doesn't do it at all with the cover on, not much help when your on site though
