Has anyone else been and camped £30.00 p/n seems really steep, is it worth it? We will be travelling up from Kent fo a nose around ;)

Why not try some of the smaller sites in the surrounding area for a much cheaper pitch? You can get to the NEC in less than 15 minutes if you look at sites in south Staffordshire or north Warwickshire. This may help in finding a suitable location.

My friend and I are going and are camping there - we thought it would be a bit of an adventure. Last time we Travelodged it somewhere it cost us about £35 each. I never seem to be in the right place at the right time for their cheap offers.

For just a single day there, all we could stand really, we have used rally meets sub an hours driving short of the NEC. Makes for a convivial week end as well, along with facilitating "doing" the NEC.

We went last year and stayed at a CL near Kingsbury, can't remember the name right now. Would not consider paying the extortionate rate to stay on the exhibition site.

We are going up first thing Saturday to spend the day in Coventry, booked a night in the Holiday Inn (it has a pool too), £39!  Then off to the NEC on Sunday.

Take some time to visit the transport museum in Coventry city centre.. its free and well worth a few moments.
