Has anyone tried the above toilet chemical ?
I have purchased 2 bottles of the stuff to try in my C250 toilet that we only use for No 1's
At first all was well and had a pleasant bubble gum odour, until I went to the chemical point to empty and OMG,
the smell !
I have dosed correctly so over the 2 weeks we were in the van I adjusted the dose both ways in header and waste tank and no different.
After flushing the waste tank thoroughly and returning back to my van, the smell did still linger in the waste tank.
Has anyone else used this product ?
How have you found it ?

We tried it properly for the first time over Easter, and as we were staying on a CL, we used our loo for everything!
At first, as you say, the pleasant bubblegum smell was nicer than the more chemical smell of the Elsan we usually use. However, towards the end of the first day a more 'farmyard' smell was starting to become apparent! By the following morning (by which time it needed emptying anyway) the pong was much in evidence, and OH was gagging when he emptied it. And no, before you all ask, I hadnt been cooking up vindaloo on the cadac!
We have used the Elsan product (don't know if this is the same as you used). We only use our loo for 'no. 1s' and got no unpleasant smells. While away we ran out and could only get Fenwicks Top and Tail. I'm not sure on the smell of that one yet - it too had a 'bubble gum' smell and the beginnings of a 'wee' smell. I think i prefer the odourless Elsan product.
We've been using it for ages too and we do use our loo "for everything" and really like it, in fact OH only commented at the weekend how good it was, he's VERY squeamish and gags if the dog farts but says the smell is not bad at all when he empties it.
We tried the Onechem - ended up giving the second bottle away as I couldn't stand the very sweet smell (even before the number 1s or 2s!!). When we were in France and it was a bit warmer, I thought it smelled like sick by the end of the day.
Weve just tried it too..smelt to me like marzipan when first put in..but OMG..what a god awful stench once it has numbers 1 and 2 in it..i was baulkin in the loo..let alone when poor Mark had to empty it..he said it really wasnt very pleasant at all..and we shall be returnin to our beloved Elsan Double Stength blue and pink asap..
We used it also and agree with the smell, it is awfu!!!. OH insisted on using it to the bitter end, we have gone back to onechem, so much more pleasant.
