I have a 2007 Swift Challenger 480 caravan . recently i have needed a new MCB ( 5SY3 - 010- 7KV )this is a single pole and appears to have two wires entering the device , both top and bottom . i cannot ;ocate this as a spare part - help ? thankyou

It's a double pole 10A MCB,just remove it and take it to a local electrical retailer/electrician and they should be able to supply a suitable replacement,it doesn't have to be a Seimans one most makes should fit.

All modern caravans are fitted with double pole MCB's to comply with BS 7671 so that in the event of a fault both the neutral and live are disconnected Don't change it for a single pole unit.

It will be a double pole MCB as Saxo states which under fault conditions will disconnect both the line and neutral conductors. It may pay to take the offending MCB into a wholesaler to obtain a similar breaker as there are some differences in manufacturers regarding the fitment to the existing board.
