If you want to use it for your fridge you'd have to have it running 24 hours a day which won't be brilliant if you want to sleep. We use our fridge on gas and have a 60w solar panel to charge the battery, a lot cheaper than getting a decent genny

According to my Honda EX650 handbook, a tank full of petrol will last about 6 hours constant running so calculating that at over £5 per gallon it would cost in the region of £20 per day to run the fridge and this would be included using it during the night too. Rather expensive really in comparison to LPG gas because a 6kg. gas at around £20 should last you about a week or more (just operating the fridge). You can also boil a kettle on gas which you can't boil a low wattage electric kettle on a generator. A generator will only cope with the wattage size so a 750 will only operate up to about 700 watts and a low wattage kettle is around 750 watts plus.
