hi, only been popping to our caravan weekly to check and cut grass(touring van,on permanent pitch)due to weather and various commitments.  2-3wks ago noticed what looked like slug trails on settee covers, and also on draining board, couldn,t believe it could be slugs, didn,t think they could move on fleece throws!ugh!but this week, ugh! ugh!slug in shower tray,by plug hole.sometimes I leave plugs in hole, sometimes not.any one else had this, and do you suppose it came through plughole?

slugs have a habit of finding their way into places through what seems like the tiniest of holes.
slug stop under your van may work but wouldnt use it inside the van lol

I will try keeping plugs in sinks etc.it's the first time this has happened, and will hopefully  be the last,we are actually on hardstanding pitch, which must have made the trek quite a painful one! slugstop next if required

Have you got a dog that goes in the caravan at all? It isn't uncommon for slugs to attach to a dogs coat then fall off in the caravan. This happenned to us a couple of years ago after our dog had been for a walk but this was the only time. Slugs and snails only like a damp environment so I doubt whether they would crawl on soft furnishings. The alternative to putting in the sink plugs is to put a ring of Salt around the plug holes as this will kill them on contact.

More likely to have entered via air vent in floor and not been able to find way out again. The pipe run for the waste pipes is a long journey for a slug and I suspect that they would probably die before getting through the system and out of the sink/shower.

morning, we do have a dog,(geriatric staffie),so short haired, also he is another reason we have`t spent so much time at the van this year,he is not happy there and just won`t settle .I wondered about the floor vents too, which could account for the snail trail on the fleece throw, which I had noticed 2-3 wks.ago,if so,how long had he/she been in there???or are there more than one,OMG. need to check all over .Just for the record rabb_uk, personel hygiene??fine, just not in my shower thanks, free shower on site ,and much easier to  access than than mine. lol

he wouldn't have used much hot water though and maybe thought your van was a lot cleaner than the onsite facilities
