Well everyone,we have gone and bought ourselves a caravan, it's lovely. sterling 4 berth fixed bed,we have sorted out the storage and am now trying to decide on insurance, hate that bit, so boring, so any advice would be welcome. Also which is the best caravan club to belong to? Thanks.
So have we Lily and go away 2 Sept. although we were quite happy with the fc it was time for us to move to the tin top.
Although not a big one like yours it suits us, which each to their own.
Enjoy yours as we hope to do likewise. We will still be in the camping & caravan club as we also are insured via it. But again each to their own, we are happy.
Thanks and yes happy tin tenting to you all, we have yet to get a car to even tow our van yet! We have definatly put the cart before the horse on this one, but were looking for both and saw the van first. looks as though we will go with caravan guard, not sure about which club yet, but love this site. :)

Priorities...... you have yours right as some have their vans on their driveway and have a cuppa in them to ease their yearning to be out in them especially when not possible to be away.
Your just making sure the cart fits you before you get the old nag to pull it.
We have tried both big clubs - CC & C&CC. Our preference is CC - first class sites - good network of CL's plus lots of FREE help/advice if needed.
Sites are not cheap anymore especially near to the coast.
What towcars are you considering?
I don't mind as long as it's fit for purpose, but other half got his heart set on a big 4x4, prop cos he knows I take everything with me, just in case! lol I think we have to look at weights etc.
Congratulations, we have the swift 540 same layout, it's lovely, have many a happy trip x

Adopt a rescue, rescue dogs make great pets, don't support puppy farms.
The road can be tough and rough, but what you put in you get back 10 x more.
We are not a member of either club, worth it though if you use their sites at least 5 times to cover the cost of the membership. We tend to use private sites and have been on some great ones. You can still use club sites even if you are not a member, it just costs more.
We kept our membership with the C&CC from our tent camping days but now only use them for our insurance and breakdown cover. We joined the CC when we bought our first caravan and use their sites all the time.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
