We are going to France soon and have booked an all services pitch for our holiday.

The waste water point on a lot of French sites we have visited have been on the corner of the pritch often at the front, (unlike here where they are normally under the van), last time we went to France I had tio use the Wastemaster as my grey waste pipe was far too short to reach.

Depending on which way round we can put the van on site, will depend on how much extra pipe we need, but it could be anything from 8 to 18 metres as we prefer to put the van broadside if possible.

We have enough in the van to meet the needs of all the UK serviced pitches we have stayed on but with the extra required, our local caravan shop quoted £3.00 per metre for the grey waste pipe which at 15 metres (£45) for a possible one use seems a total waste of money. Does anyone have any ideas on a better cost option that I could attach to my existing grey hose, to extend up to 15 metres that would be suitable for grey waste water?

Email or 'phone the site you booked for advice. They usually speak some english and are helpful. Email is best as it gives them time to translate. I recently stopped at 4 sites in France and Spain with no waste pipe problems. I have 8 metres of waste and only need the full length once. Europeans often have the caravan door on the opposite side to us. A long electric hook up is advisable.
