just curious to see how many vans the average caravanner has owned.
for me its 3 (so far)
1984 eldiss cyclone 4 berth
1995 swift rapide 5 berth(written off)
2001 fleetwood countryside which is our current van
all since october 2008 when we bought the elddis
------------- Who needs travel agents,we have our static
were on our 2nd one since '07. our 1st was a 2nd hand avondale golden mayfair made in the '90's and our present one is an Avondale Dart we bought new in '08 just after Avondale ceased trading.

We are on our 2nd. The first was a 2003 Compass Magnum 2 berth bought in 2010. We changed to a 2008 Adria Adiva last year because we decided we wanted a fixed bed.
Since 2009
1992 bailey pageant cabriolet ( just to see if we liked it)
2005 lunar zenith 4 because there's three of us
2006 swift challenger 480 because the kid decided he was far to old to come anymore ( up for sale)
so looking for our fourth, Fixed bed this time and this next one has to be the right one, as we plan on keeping it for as long as we can ( OH health permitting) until we probably will have change to a MH.

Adopt a rescue, rescue dogs make great pets, don't support puppy farms.
The road can be tough and rough, but what you put in you get back 10 x more.
We have been caravanning for about 12 years(tent camper before that). We have just purchased our third caravan, I have spend today emptying number 2 caravan ready to pick up number three next weekend, cant wait!!!!!!!
Iain, is that your letter and photo in last months Practical Caravan? Van goes great with the car.
We've had 4 since May 2011
1. 2006 Bailey Pageant Bordeaux- leaked after three weeks of ownership so had a full refund from dealer.
2. 2010 Bailey Ranger GT60 520/4. Private sale van, loved it but the fixed bed just dosent work for us with kids. Sold it 3 months after buying it for what we paid- phew.
3. 2011 Lunar Ultima 525- brand new ex demo van we rejected after owning it a week due to numerous faults. Dealer picked it up and gave us a full refund.
4 Current van is a 2010 Bailey Ranger 500/5 bought in a private sale Nov 11 and we are extremly happy with it. Will keep it til the kids are grown up and its just the two of us when we hope to change it for a fixed bed van.

1st was an old 5 berth back in 2003. It was a ?? Award. Baught it from an add in the paper, remember them, not ebay back then lol
Then 2010 I helped my Dad out and baught his old Fleetwood Crystal 2 berth. That fell apart not long after lol
Got my 1992 Bailey Senator 4000 March 2011 off gumtree. Went out first time to find the reason they sold it, someone had messed with the electrics and lots didn't work. couldn't test as viewed at storage site with no elec. Silly Me.
Got all that sorted now, just need the weather to use it .....
just the one for us...only started caravanning this year. its an old 97...but in time warp condition.. very light to tow and the set out is perfect for us...not sure if i love caravanning yet...HATE towing it, but like it when we get to site,

Van no.1 was a 1991 Buccaneer Elan off ebay, we bought it to see if we would like caravanning, was a cracking, immaculate van but we wanted something more modern so swapped it after one season for~
Van no.2 which was a 2002 Elddis Firestorm, a twin dinette in which we planned to keep the rear dinette set up as a fixed bed, I stood 1 week holiday in it and hated it, the beds were uncomfortable and it had hardly any worktop so we traded it in for~
Van no.3, our current 2007 Compass Magnum Classic, tons of worktop, proper comfy fixed bed and tons of storage. We knew the dealer at Discover where we bought it from and because he was p'd off they were closing and only gave the staff 3 weeks to shut up shop he let us have it for less than what they paid, gave us over the odds for our Elddis and threw in everything including a motor mover, only condition was that we went and fetched it that day before it was shipped to another branch.

you're the same as me agde, I don't love the towing bit but love it when we get there, we're on our first caravan also and will have owned it a year in july.
