Hi, we have a Rally 200, bought from Gumtree for a really good price.

In the meantime, we had to return our Quattro for a refund due to faults.

We had initially  bought the Rally (not used yet) for weekends but was wondering how much you can fit in it as we were hoping it may be able to manage with it? We have a full awning but don't really need it and are hoping to 'tour' more.

There are only 2 of us so it would store a small table, 2 reclining chairs, coats and shoes.

If you have one, do you think it will be okay or should we look for a 260?

Thanks

we have the 260 for 4 of us, I should imagine the 200 will work for two of you. You've nothing to loose by trying it and if you find it a bit small then look for a 260.

Hi we bought the 200 but sadly it leaked like a sieve. Having problems with a company called peak outdoors as they refused to change or refund. ( will be taking them to court) but getting back to your question there is plenty of room for two chairs and I would say no bigger than a 2 ft by 2 ft table. If there is only two of you there is plenty of room. I would check it out though ours leaked in about 4 different places very badly.

Scoobz, Peak Outdoors are not known for their customer service. Several ukcs members have had run ins with them unfortunately. Good luck with them.

Adandemsmom, I've not heard anyone else report a leaking Rally. We bought ours from Preloved last year, a 2011 model which I believe has the adjustable front legs that the earlier models didnt. Its an absolute doddle to pitch, we also have a Kampa Fiesta and the Rally is much quicker to erect. We've just bought the monsoon poles for the Rally as we have had water pooling on the roof. Does your Rally come with the optional back poles? I reckon they are a must have.

We bought it supposedly new in April this year. It is a great awning if it did not leak so bad. I have been in touch with kampa who really did not want to know they just said that it sometimes should leak then tighten up when dried. But I have spoken to other camping shops who have said nylon should not leak as bad as ours did,or not at all. But ours leaked everywhere . We ended up having to pile everything in the middle as this was the only place it did not leak. But as I said great concept , so easy to put up but if it leaks it is defeating the object really.yours should be fine but just check it out.

It came with Monsoon poles and canopy poles but we've bought the extra back uprights. It has adjustable legs and tie down buckles.

I'm hoping it should be okay as it came from a lovely genuine family who really didn't seem the sort to sell something knowingly faulty.

Hi savanne.wish we new about peak outdoors before we bought. They are a gang of crooks. Used the awning once sent it back at there request, which I had to pay at a cost of £20. With photographs of all of the leakage. They had it for over a month and re contacted myself saying they tested it ( sent no visual evidence of this) found nothing wrong sort a parcel company to come and collect it. They have had my £180 and the awning for nearl three months now. Got the citizens advice involved as trading standards did not want to know but they are even ignoring there letters now. Just got the forms to issue court proceedings against them. I would tell anybody and I wish there was a way for it to be flagged major time to stay well clear of these crooks. As to the second part of your question we had the extension poles and could add the monsoon poles and the storm straps if we wished personally I would rather they included everything that was needed to make the awning as strong as possible and just already have it included in the price. I think kampa is like Ryan air everything is extras. Thanks for the reply though.

Sccobz, we had a problem with Index (that was!) a few years ago and a faulty cooker. I wrote to a consumer expert in a ladies magazine (Bella). Within a week I'd got the cooker collected, a full refund and compensation. It may be worth the cost of a stamp/time for an email?

what awful treatment Scoobz, they should be ashamed with themselves. What a cheek expecting you to pay for the postage to have it looked at. Really do hope you get it sorted.

We used our Kampa Rally 200 for the first time at the weekend and I was really pleased with it. We had several hours of light/moderate rain and no leaks, although it did of course gather a lot of condensation in the morning (inevitable for a small polyester awning on a damp warm day).

We had space for a camping table, two chairs, a toddler and her toys. It's so easy to put up and take down so I think we'll be using it a lot in future when we can't be bothered to put up our full NR awning.

Adandemsmom. Thanks for the reply. Will give it a go. It just baffles myself how these company's stay in business. They actually sent me a email(peak outdoors) saying we don't do refunds there exact words were we do what we have to do to repair it if we are to blame we don't do refunds. What even more made me mad was I originally thought I was ordering of amazon, but it came in a box from peak outdoors. Amazon took the money of from my credit card and sent me the invoice , but they do not want to know neither and just kept saying nothing to do with us it's a third party. But we will give you a £5 voucher of your next order as a good will gesture. ( you can imagine what I told them to do with that) the CAB have said what is really annoying is that this seems to be something that all of the stores are doing going as a third party sale , as with my case by doing this I also got rejected from my credit card company stating that it was Amazon who took my money but it is peak outdoors who I have the problem with so are rejecting my claim as it is a third party. Basically a legal scam in my eyes. As with kampa they just said peak outdoors were one of there buyers but do not get involved with a third party problem( mmm heard this before some were) even though I pointed out that this company was not representing there product very well. Did not want to know. Just hope many people can see these problems that people are having with peak outdoors and avoid them. Hopefully they will go out of business so no other innocent person gets ripped of. I have even seen on one camping and caravan forum that someone was having similar problems as myself and were told by peak outdoors that porch awnings aren't meant to be used in the rain and should be taken down. Absolute joke of a company.

Oh dear, how awful for you! It's so frustrating when you're dealing with something like this. Tbh, I was fully expecting a problem with Towsure when we returned ours but we got a full refund after inspection.

I hope you get somewhere with your claim, go on as many sites as you can and spread the word! MSE is a good one and when people google the company name the posts show up.

I've just bought a kampa 200 with no back poles but thought I could use some veranda poles off my large awning ... On my kampa the back poles tie on so hoping the size won't matter ..... A set of new poles is quite expensive.. Going to try it out this weekend but if it doesn't work will have to dig deeper and buy some
