Just some advice please.
We have seen this caravan advertised as a private sale
for the price of £4200 with porch awning.
in a very good condition. would this price be seen as a good price for this caravan. as it is a 2001
anyone with knowledge on this please
as we are interested in buying.

thanks for the heads up. the caravan is currently on the same site as us, we have been to see it and is in an excellent condition. Its was manufactured late 2001.
would that have a slight difference in the guide price for the later end of the year?

If you like the van and are convinced that it is in good nick and perfectly dry {must check thoroughly with damp meter} then being £700 above book price you could prob meet somewhere inbetween that....
Agree with fleetwood, if it's all sound and you really like it, then there nothing stopping you from making an offer, good luck.

Thanks for the input guys really appreciated although this guy is not gonna budge on his price. and givin the fact its 3 feet longer than my drive way. I wont fit it in
but the wife really likes this one.....Arrrrrrrh decisions!!

not a bad price , after seeing some dross much older than that for only a couple of hundred less on dealers forecourts yesterday.
we had same van . same year , sold it 3 years ago private and got £5500 for it , no awning or anything with it though.
As already said, buy a cheap damp meter first and make sure it's dry. I looked at many vans around this age in the last couple of months for a friend and found damp in every one

If no damp found, it's worth going for...
The problem with cheap damp meters is that they often over read. We had this prob. after our last 'van was repaired by a dealer. Our cheap meter said it was still damp (90%). The repairers Protimeter said 5% and his was right! V. embarrasing.
Got my hands on a good damp meter and found the van to be in exceptional condition. spent over an hour testing everywhere.and stayed in the green through out.
bought the van for the price of £4200 so here we go!!
