Caravan Club National Rally Cancelled

Shame, we were looking forward to it, but the "drought" has made the ground soggy!

Have managed to get a place on C&CC site for the weekend-no electric though.

Really sad to hear this after a great deal of effort will have been put in to arrange it .

We were at Tatton Park a few years ago at the National Rally and the ground conditions were terrible after heavy rain. We had to be towed onto our pitch and car and caravan had to be towed off at the end of the rally by a tractor.There were many outfits in the same position. I'm sure the decision has not been taken lightly by the CC especially after all the hard work which will have already been put in.It is better to be safe than sorry. What a shame.

Yes, I was gutted when I got the e-mail. It was going to be our first National and the family were all very excited about going.Many other places are full now - I spent the day trawling yesterday.
We've managed to get on a rally over in North Yorkshire at the Jim Clark memorial rally in Duns so it'll be a motor sport weekend now instead!
