Got me old caravan last Aug.  The gas fire worked, but at a price.  So out it went.

The oven worked.  But wouldn`t regulate.  So out it went.  We don`t eat that many tinned steak pies anyway . . .

No leisure battery was supplied wi the van.  What is a leisure battery??

I want a regulator on the wall which I can set to the site electricity allocation.  And the control mechanism to automatically prioritise my appliances as I switch them on.

But up to now, I haven`t needed one. . . .

Gas is used for water heating (rarely) and the gas rings.  Not the grill  . . .too slow and messy.(I have to clean it lol)

Seems to suit us fine, no hassle, a gas bottle 6kg lasts about a year.

We love our ole van; only got it to see if we liked caravanning.

My little van has no heating, no double glazing, minimal or no insulation, no shower and no gas rings/grill.
Until recently she had no mains hook up capability or water (she only has a cold water supply through a hand pump tap now!)
She now has 2 LED strip lights that run off the 12v battery.

She is a VERY basic little caravan but I LOVE her and wouldn't change her for all the mod cons in the world!
