Looking for somewhere that has some Omnisotre Safari Residence or Fiamma Zip awnings on display in the Berks / Surrey / Hants Area...looked at the Quest Rolli and the build quality was not what I expected.....

So plse any ideas where I can get to see the above on show.

Will this help you narrow it down a bit?

I can't help with your specific question as I don't know the area but we have just swapped from a Caravanstore to a Rolli because we found it much more substantial.

I'd say the pro's for the Caravanstore are: Lighter so easier to put up, legs are stored within the crossbar, it has pegging holes on the feet, can be erected by one person. Cons are: Flappy in high wind so can't be left up in bad weather, sides are thin and flimsy, windows small and not clear so makes the awning pretty dark, not substantial when used as a full awning.

Pro's for Rolli: Heavier weight makes it more sturdy, according to manual once it's guyed down it can be left up in any weather without worry, material is awning quality and windows are big so it's light and airy when used as a full awning, they are also "anti freeze" so will never go cloudy and dull. A bit longer to erect than the Fiamma but still up in less than 5 minutes (when using as a canopy, both take about the same amount of time when attaching panels)

Cons:- Heavier than the usual roll-outs and needs two people for the initial set up, we don't like the legs being separate and having the pin to push through the crossbar because it could bend if the person holding the crossbar let it drop before the roof poles were in place and it's a fair weight to hold above your head while the other person puts the legs in especially in the wind, it also takes a fair bit of strength to stretch the roof poles to tension them (we're planning to buy a proper tensioning tool)

Overall if you just want a canopy then the caravanstore will do the job but if you want to use it as a proper awning then the Rolli is much better, we sold our canopy, porch awning and full awning as the Rolli suits both needs.

Sorry it doesn't answer your original question but hopefully it's useful to hear from someone who has had both.
