Haven't Avondale stopped making vans? Perhaps somebody can confirm. If they have you might struggle to get some parts after 9 years, although a lot of interior equipment , water systems , fridge , cooler etc is probably still available?
The Avondales we've seen on sites have kept very well. There were a couple this weekend and they did look well.. Don't know how long ago Avondale stopped producing 'vans though.
We have a Lunar with a fixed bed and it is fab! We don't regret changing to a fixed bed. It was in fantastic condition when we bought it and we've had it for almost a year, its a 2007 model. Just had it serviced and, thankfully, no damp recorded! It really is a perfect 'van for us, so much so, that i don't even look at other 'vans now!
Hope you can find what you're looking for. I wouldn't hesitate in having another Lunar but there can be good and bad in any make. We've been lucky.
Avondale finished in 2008. We had one of the last vans they made. Had a lot of trouble with damp and got rid as soon as we could although it was a lovely van otherwise.
We see lots on sites and they look in very good condition.
love our lunar it is only a 1999 but is in lovely condition,would keep it but I have heart probs and find it hard to make the bed ,will miss the large shower and toilet ,it has to go if we want to have a van at all ,we keep it on site all season ,the ace seems perfect for us we are waiting for it to come in at the dealers ,as usual not offered a lot for our van but cant have the worry of advertising it ,
