Hi all, we are looking at buying a kampa rally club awning, has anyone got one and any opinions. We are changing van and obviously our hardly used dorema awning doesn't fit!
I havent got a Club version, but we were so pleased with our 260 Rally that when it came to needing a larger one to accomodate a sleeping pod for our grandchildren we simply went out and bought a 390 instead.
Just dont forget to order a set of rear upright poles and storm straps at the same time, as some dealers do tend to keep their stock for purchasers of new awnings only, and you will obviouly save on any delivery charges made by purchasing both at the same time.

We have speant the last 3 months looking at different 390 size awnings as didn't want a full one for our newer van (to heavy and to much hassle to put up and dry out!). Having looked at all the ones on the market we are going to order the Kampa Rally 390. They also do this in a new "Pro" version which is a thicker material but don't think we will go for this due to the extra cost (approx £140!). I liked some of the others (sunncamp, etc) but overall preferred the height of the Kampa and also that the lower flaps tuck inside the awning, as opposed to outside as on other makes. We saw one at a site last week and speaking to the owner and having a peak around was very useful and made our mind up!
As has been mentioned above I would also get the rear upright poles, storm straps and monsoon poles. Although not essential you will find it does make it extra stable and will probably get a better deal if you buy them with the awning.
We are currently saving up for ours and hope to order it next month ready for our summer trips!
We've just bought the Rally 330 club. We were dithering between the ordinary one and the pro version, in the end we went for the ordinary one as we thought it would be easier to handle and dry out when it was wet being so much lighter. Our previous awning was a 250 OR compactalite, so we are used to this type of awning.
We havent used it (or even put it up yet!) but from what we can see it looks to be well made. Will report back when we've used it in a couple of weeks.

Had the 390 for a couple of years now and very impressed.
Particularly like the adjustable front poles.
I would agree with the advice to use monsoon poles as a considerable weight of water can collect on the roof in wet weather if the poles are not fitted. The rear upright poles also make a good seal to the side of the van.
The storm straps give peace of mind in strong winds and we had no problems during gales in Wales last year.
It's obviously not the quality of an Isabella or such like but I think it is excellent value for money.
