I've done a search on here and can only a few posts about this. We have recently bought a Bailey GT620 and thought about using an aquasource as we have a service pitch. What are people's views and experience of the aquasource? Is there a preference for the aquaroll? What is the best method for supplying water to the van?

Any comments gratefully received.

I have always been worried that the Aquasource may fail at some point and flood the van. I don't know whether this is possible or not. It may just be me.

We use an Aquaroll mains converter (float in the side of the aquaroll). If this fails for any reason the mains water stays outside the caravan.

We had the Aqua-source when we had a Bailey and it was fine

But on changing van we went to the Aqua-roll convertion but using the aquasource ext lead and it works ok but it only fills half the aqua roll and when its filling the onboard tank it has a job to keep up But its still easier than fetching the water...

This happened on our Pathfinder. I assumed the mains pressure was overcoming the connection. In the end we left it in the locker and went back to the pump, topping up the water container with a hose to the tap.

Anyone know what might fail in the Aquasource that may lead to over pressurising the caravan system?

I have both the Aquasource and the Aquaroll float valve systems and under normal circumstances the pressure in the caravan is less when using the Aquasource than the float valve and pump.

I did at one time design a small safety valve for the aquasource that would close off the supply to the caravan in the event of a sudden increase in flow but after about 200 days of using the Aquasource my confidence (maybe unfounded!) was such that I stopped using the safety valve as it did sometimes activated if I turned a tap on full very quickly and I lost interest in developing the valve further.
