Hi Bill go to a car accesssory shop and buy some anti fog windscreen cleaner dry the windows and polish on a couple of coats of the cleaner renew when they start to fog again
works on the car ????.
condensation or steaming up windows, condensation is much more than putting a anto-fog on the windows.
condensation means you have excess moistour in the van.
warm air can carry water but cold air cant, thats why you always see condensation on the window as the warm air in the caravan turns cold as it hits the cold window and as cold air cant hold water it releases it onto the window. just open the window slightly to let the warm air that is carrying the water out of the window and into the atmospher. We open our windows slightly every morning and all is fine. there is much more to condensation than people think, I deal with it within houses all the time.
The advice you've been given above is correct, open the windows especially in the morning, you don't need to fling them wide open, just get some air circulating. The average person expells a lot of water overnight so crack the bedroom window open a little. If you've got an extractor fan in the kitchen, use it when cooking and afterwards for a while. If you're having a shower, open the window slightly. Try not to dry washing in the 'van.
The old fashioned idea of having a couple of large tubs of common salt on the windowsills does help, but i agree with the advice above, ventilation is the best cure for condensation.

what you must remember is that you will never get rid of condensation you can only control it, so you must be in charge of it and make it go where you want it to go. the avergae house hold makes around 25 litres of moisture through out the day, so keep the temp steedy and open windows to send the water out side. when boiling water make sure the door or window is open. if you use a shower make sure the toilet door is kept closed and the window open.
dont forget you can not get rid of condensation you can only control it.
I understand you can't stop it but have found a brilliant solution to dealing eith the problem. The Karcher window vac is absolutely fantastic for drying the windows. And the kids fight over whose turn it is to clean the windows!!!!
RESULT!! It does cost £45.99 from Amazon but for me it's worth its weight in gold!
Sorry, Mark, that's just drivel. It's a quick solution to cleaning your windows. What on earth has rotten walls got to do with anything? If you have condensation surely you use a squeegee and cloth to remove it. The window vac is just a very quick and efficient way of doing the same thing and leaves the windows sparkling clean.
Don't criticise something you haven't even tried - it's mad to do so!??!
