I've carried out a search for info on the ventura range of awnings. Seems the last post was 2007, at least thats what i can find.

Now i know they are slightly linked to isabella, obviously cheaper, but after owning a 12 month old ventura porch.... i still find them to be a quality item, now there must be forum members on here that have had a ventura longer than myself, so what do you think, will they last a while with average use. Its just we are upgrading our van and will buy a new porch if needed, but the ventura still looks new. Would rather spend my addional savings on something else, maybe a quality caravan locking system, (maybe some of you can recommend one).

Thanks,

I was really thinking of the longevity of the awning, i have just given a 15 year old full isabella awning away with our last van (part of the part ex deal), that still looked brand new after 15 years of normal use. I was really wondering what sort of life i could get out of the ventura, it does feel and look a quality unit, obviously not the same as the isabella.

Not sure but I know that nylon tents (so awnings too) are expected to cope with 6 months exposure and probably less in extreme weathers.

I would expect any acrylic awning to last ALOT longer. Just keep going with it until you need to replace it.

I think that Ventura awnings are from the same "stable" as Isabella, expect someone will correct me if I am wrong.  We searched for a new awning to replace our Dorema (change from twin axle to single) and eventually purchased our Ventura full awning from Golden castle caravans in Gloucester.  It is one of the best awnings we have owned and is showing no sign of wear or colour fade.We have the fibre glass poles with ours".IF" we ever have to change again it would certailnly be for another Ventura. Hope this helps

Yes thanks june and all who replied,

As i stated, my ventura porch 1 year old still looks mint, but if i thought it was only going to last another 3 years i would probably get new, maybe an isabella. But looking here and other forums, it seems the ventura should last a few years under normal use, so will go with it.
