Hi all
We used our warm air heating for the first time this trip, the first time we used it, it was brilliant the van was lovely and toasty.
I turned it off, put it back on a few hours later and it was just blowing lukewarm/almost cold air out.
Is this normal for caravan heating?
thanks

What we tend to do in those citcumstances is to turn the blower off for a while and let the hearter work on convenction, when its hot enough we turn the blower back on.

Hi David, when you say turn the blower off, do you mean turn the know into the middle and just turn if on with knob under seats?
Sorry to be stupid, but we were not 100% sure how to use it, and the instructions in the manual were very vague.
Thats why I wasnt sure if it was something we were doing or its just the heating.
We had the know under the chair on 2000 on about 7, and the fan heater pushed to the right side on about 8
thanks

Gas will be run warmer than on electric. If you don't have the fan on then the heater will feel warmer, once you start circulated the heat by using the fan then the heater itself will lose some warmth. I believe that is normal?

yes once the heater has gone cold it will take a bit to get it back to full heat.

We had this problem last summer, you will find there is a trip switch on the heater unit our's is under the wardrobe just lift the shelf out , now this switch is not like a light switch , you need to run your hand over the unit and you will feel the sufrace change its like a bump in the surface really , just press it firmly and your hot air will be back , make sure the heating is switched off when you do it .
Gill xx
PS if it is tripping out then the pipes could be blocked causing it to overheat may need a clean out .

The gas shouldn't affect the electric heating at all .
