Collected new van last tuesday. Set off for hour trip to Teversal on wednesday in light rain. Lost front number plate on M1.... weather deteriorated to sleet..... arrived Teversal to find 4 inches of snow on site!! reversing up slight hill on snow/ice and gravel was too much for clutch so with help of fantastic wardens pushed van onto pitch. too much snow for awning so went to Sutton in Ashfield for number plate and wellies!!

Thursday brought sunshine and we loved our new van, very cosy and warm, no regrets about changing from FC. Pack up and journey home went well and we managed to reverse onto storage without too much trouble.

Can't wait for next trip in may

This site is used to everything as they are open over the Xmas hols and get a site full as you go into a big marquee for grubstakes. It is a wonder they are not taking bookings already. The toilets are fantastic ,did you find?

Great story and glad you enjoyed it so much. We was thinking of going to Teversal later in the year actually as it seems to have some good reviews so remember to put your views in the review section as well if you can. Let me know when you have put it in and I will have a look at your comments. At least if you only lost a number plate then that's not bad really but at least hopefully we have warmer weather to look forward to in the next few months.....fingers crossed!

Tee hee - there is nothing like Teversal snow. We got rid of our Zafira and got Tessie the Two Ton Terracan after sliding around at Teversal and being rescued by Matt (who I think is elsewhere now?) and his Terracan! I have wonderful memories of dragging the kids round Silverhill in a blizzard, and being very lucky not to have snapped awning poles due to the snow weight. Happy days! Just as good in the summer as well. Luckily we are not quite an hour away and go as often as we can (but never as often as we'd like!!). you are right about the loo block Chrissie, it's the best ever.
