I was wondering if any Lunar owners out there ever had bother with the dealer they bought their van from when something had to get replaced under warranty. We have had a few silly things go on our new van and when ever we go back to the dealer the line from them is always the same " oh Lunar are terrible to deal with" and then we wait & wait and wait some more for the parts.
Is this the case, or are they just spinning us a line?
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
We had a shower tray split while we were in France on a Lunar we owned in 2010 I phoned Lunar direct who phoned me back to save my costs I explained where we were and asked if I could do a temporary repair without affecting the warranty they gave the ok.
When I got back I sent photos of the split to my dealer who contacted Lunar who then authorized the repair the replacement tray was supplied and fitted within 14 days so Lunar get a thumbs up from me.
I think its your dealer Lunar have supplied parts for our van and its a 1994 van. the parts were delivered in about 3 or 4 days. Even though our van is old Lunar have always been very helpful.

Same here, Lunar transferred the warranty of our 2009 caravan to us when we bought it privately with no quibble and last year we had a few smallish niggly jobs done by the dealer under warranty all completed whilst the van was in for its service, very pleased with both dealer and Lunar. I really can't understand why some dealers fail to appreciate that if they look after their customers post sale then they will more than likely buy from them again!
We have always found Lunar fair to deal with, and when they no longer stocked a part for our Lunar Zenith, they always authorised our dealer to come up with an alternative which has often been of better quality than the original.
Would we buy Lunar again? probably not, we still love the Coachman brand from the days when we owned our Genius from new, and when the times right, and we have explored the possibilty of a motorhome a little more to see if it would suit our needs better, and if the answer to that question turns out to be a no, then we will hopefully buy a new Coachman again sometime in the future.

Celebrating 37 years of Caravanning in 2019, Recently Considered Retiring, but Totally Addicted for Life!
We had trouble getting a replacement front locker lock. It broke when we were picking it up from its service. The dealers were great and changed it there and then, but it was a different key from the rest, so made it a bit of a pain.
We had to wait about 9 months for a replacement!, lots of phoning and popping in. They told us lunar didn't keep these as a stock item!
I did feel it was the dealer, rather than lunar, as a side locker lock arrived at one point. It was blamed on lunar sending the wrong part.
Good luck
Nicky
Bought our Stellar new in 2010 from Highbridge caravans Somerset.
The van has recently had it's second service there.
We have had one or two small issues which were sorted by the dealer without any quibble.
In fact this year they fitted a new front locker seal, radio aerial and I had not even reported a problem. Apparently a modified seal was fitted to the locker on Lunars instruction as some owners had reported leaks, there were no leaks in our van.
Have to say Highbridge are first class and would recommend them highly.
I feel some dealers are too ready to blame Lunar when they should be sorting the problems as they are obliged by trading law and dealing with Lunar later.
Our Lunar's been virtually trouble free apart from a failed battery charger at 13 months which happened while we were overwintering in Spain , are dealer submitted a warranty claim and Lunar approved it the same day and shipped a replacement to us within 6 days .
First Class service I say
Got our 2010 Quasar from Brayford Leisure in Lincoln. Shower wall cracked this winter. Within 2 weeks of emailing Brayford, our shower was sorted - done on our drive at a date and time to suit. Huge bonus points to both Brayford and Lunar. Great service - especially considering the time of year and the cold temp. reached overnight.
