I have been spring cleaning the new caravan and washed the windows and wiped over the blackout blind, I have just been back to the van and the windows have condensation in between the 2 pieces of double glazing (if this makes sense.) Is it our fault and if it is what do we do, if its not I will have to get in touch with the dealer as It has another 2 week warranty (If its covered) PANIC!!!!
This usually happens when the windows are delaminated. If you have a look around the perimeter of the windows where they have been bonded together you may see patches where the adhesive has broken apart which lets in the damp. We had to have two new front windows replaced under the warranty because they had delaminated but there was a problem at one stage where many new caravans had to have windows replaced due to a manufacturing defect. There is a section somewhere on UKCS regarding this but I can find it after searching so maybe Ratty will be able to post the link for you if he reads this.

.....I've had the same problem with 2 of the roof vents on my Hobby (at £186 + vat each) just after I bought it. Ouch.........!!!! The technical guys at Hobby UK told me that most window delaminations are caused by the 'van being left in sun with the blinds closed, usually in storage, as the excessive heat buildup destroys the sealer (glue) holding the two panes together. I read the manual, and it actually says that all blinds should be left open when the caravan is stored for any period of time for exactly that reason..........
Having had a front window replaced due to the problem mentioned I know what you may be feeling. But, before you panic...... sometimes when there are rain spots on the window because of a rain shower and then the sun comes out and warms the window up, you can see spots of condensation that form inside the window (i.e. between the 2 panes) directly behind the rain spots, but they soon disappear. I'm no scientist but I've always believed it is down to the extremes of temperatures. Perhaps this is the case for you - where the water has cooled the outer surface, and the temperature inside the window is warm, it has caused condensation.

see,if you washed the caravan and the sun was strong you would get what looks like condensation on the inside,mostly where the water droplets are.this will go away.

Thank you jaffa and micheal, Ive been this morning and removed the gromits and slightly left the roof light open and closed the curtains. The gromits have broken, so ive rang round and no one has any, so I rang the manufacturer and they gave me a number to ring and they are sending me a new set FREE!!!. But will the windows be ok without the gromits for a day or two??
I have noticed today that there is an area about 4inches by 2 inches inside the door window. It has only appeared in the last 2 days. Any ideas - do i need to remove the "grommits" in the corner. It only had it's 3rd service 2 weeks ago - typically it wasn't there then!!
Thats roughtly what happened to me and the advice I was given was to remove the grommits, I have done that and up to now it seems to be going, the grommits havent arrived today so I hope they get here before if rains or frost. But the grommits fall into the window if your not careful (which has happened to me.)
