Mix it with hot water, spray onto roof with a small sprayer, then was off with a soft brush and bucket of water, on a car wash brush on the end of a hose.
Hi Ali,I have found Fenwick caravan cleaner will do the job, soft window brush if you have one, mix solution in warm water, and apply using the brush, use gentle scrubbing motion leave for the recommended time, and rinse off.

If in Doubt Check it Out.
Take no notice of Allpalm do not use washjng up liquid. It contains far too much salt which can harm your van. I use Fenwicks as this was recommended on here. But must admit my van is stored under an open barn so dont get much mould.

I also use Fenwick's caravan cleaner too and it's the best I have used but if the green algea is a bit thick then make a stronger solution in a small tub and work it in with a soft paint brush. Don't use a stiff brush as this could damage the seals and you could end up having damp problems. Ignore the advice for washing up liquid as this contains solvents that will damage the seals. I used washing up liquid to clean a car many years ago thinking it was the same as car shampoo only to find out after two years there was rust forming in several places such as the sills wheel arches and doors due to the solvents. It was that bad that I had to scrap off the car so imagine what it could do to a caravan.
I use ordinary car shampoo, doesn't seem to cause any problems.
On the other hand, if I had a tub of fenwicks for the caravan, I'd probably use it on the car too!

Worked for me too - used a soft brush attachment on my hose and a bucket of warm water/car shampoo. Came off easier than I thought.
Have a cover now though, but thats a whole new topic!
snagz, while i love fenwicks for our tourer I wouldn't use it on my car again , last year we went to wash our van in storage and as we had some left over we decided to was the car as well. we did it exactly the same way and after we had rinsed it off we found a whit residue on the car windows that took forever to get off but only on the car !!!!!!!! the caravan windows were perfect not a smear in site. so fenwicks for the tourer and turtle wax for the car .

Thanks people, think we will stick to Fenwicks. Our van is on a permenent site and this last year has gone very green on top. It is 12 years old and needs to last us for several more years yet, so don't want to do anything that will damage the seals, as touch wood we havent had any damp yet. Thanks again
