well if your  like us, anything and everything.

down to personal choice really i suppose,   our essentials list,( left in 'van at all times), consists of, a first aid kit ,fire blanket, fire extinguisher, smoke alarm, spare fuses, a torch and spare batteries, my crocs ,the OH 's crocs, camping crockery & cutlery, a good reliable tin opener, corner steady winder, water pump, a set of spare road light bulbs for the 'van

everything else i.e, leisure battery, gas bottle, fresh and waste water containers, awning, telly, bedding/towels & clothes, walking boots, and a partridge in a pear tree  all go in either the night before, or more usually the morning of, our outings

i think thats the lot but can't help feeling i've left something out

no tin tent outings booked as yet ,just another cruise in Sept' booked so far

Our first tow with the van was to a CCC site about 30 miles from the house. The thinking was if we had forgot anything it was not too far to go back for. Also the people and wardens on CCC sites we have found to be so helpful to newbies.

We bought everything for ours as I don't like having to take things from home so apart from the TV and the halogen oven which we bring home for safety reasons evrything else lives in the caravan all we have to take from home is our clothes and food.

Sue.

YOU ALL FORGOT THE MOST IMPORTANT PIECE OF EQUIPMENT - THE CORKSCREW!!

Seriously, the only thing we remove from the 'van after a trip is the perishables and our clothing.  TV is fixed to a wall bracket, SKY+ box also left wired in, and we leave sauces, pickles, condiments, tinned/packet food in there ready for the next trip.  Only clear it out at the end of the season.
