Hello all,

A couple of days ago i had my Abbey Aventura 320 caravan serviced by a mobile engineer i have never used before in Leeds.

Whilst the caravan was being serviced the apprentice who was taking off a wheel managed to let the jack slip off the caravan.
The caravan then fell some height onto the axle stand with a loud bang!

The engineer stated the caravan will be fine and there is no damage.
My worry is a friend of mine said that it could have caused some stress damage to it, somewhere?
This is something that i have no idea how to check on?

Could someone please give me some advise as i am not worried my caravan might suffer say water egress or something now?

Many thanks for any help

Neil

The stress would have been less than hitting a pothole at 50mph so no worries.

"...The caravan then fell some height onto the axle stand with a loud bang!..."
'Which part of the caravan came into contact with the axle stand?' is the first (perhaps important?) question before giving an answer....

Thanks for the responses guys.

I am presuming that the caravan fell onto its normal axle stand point as i think the lad was trying to lower the caravan onto the axle?

I am quite new to caravaning having only owned one for 2 years,so please excuse my relative ignorance!

:-)

"..as i think the lad was trying to lower the caravan onto the axle?"
Do you mean "onto the axle stand"? If it was the caravan axle or the chassis which landed on the axle stand, hopefully no problem, but if it was (for example) the floor of the van which landed on the axle stand, that could cause damage....
Best thing (for starters) is to have a look underneath and see whether there are any marks or damage.
