Hi,

We are thinking of purchasing one of these with a sleeping annexe to replace our full awning.

If anyone has any experience with this awning would love to hear your views on it, especially how easy/ quick it is to put up and down, how light it is, the amount of usable space inside, and how well it copes in adverse weather conditions.

Pro's: Easy to erect, loads of room... cavernous inside due to the shape. There is no low headroom problems. Even bigger if you zip in the annex. We tend not to. We can now get this up and pegged down in about 30 minutes. My favourite bit is the porch that allows you to stand in it and watch the rain without getting wet! We have encountered some pretty stormy weather and the awning has not budged.

Con's: No problems. Not as light as you would think. The awning itself is fairly light but the poles are heavy. This awning has a steel exo-skeleton and steel support poles for where the awning meets the van. Sunncamp have let their QA slip a little in recent years IMHO. Nothing major, just silly things. We are very happy with our Encore.
