We have a Avtex router on our caravan is there a sim that allows you to stop and restart as would only be needed when van is in use

We just buy whatever preloaded SIM is cheap on eBay when I need one. A few months ago someone was selling 1 month Voxi 300gb preloaded SIMs for £5 each so I bought 3 to last me for all our summer trips. These don’t appear very often so I start looking just after Christmas and check regularly until I find a cheap deal and then buy enough to last me through the season.

We have an O2 sim which we got through Our Virgin media account. It has unlimited data in UK and EU roaming.(restricted to 125Gb)
We use it in a TP link router which so far has been excellent in UK.its used in the van, but was used at home once when Virgin Internet was down!

Have a look on Scancom (its a UK telco company - no affiliation - I just use one of their SIMS)
They sell Three (3) SIMs that have 500GB/month of data, and they're 'loaded' with that data for 12 or 24 months - and typically come in at under £5/month for that data - you pay the lot up front
I got a 500GB/Mth - for 27 months - and it averaged out at £3.50 (with VAT) per month

They also sell on Amazon - If that makes things easier - but their offers/prices on Amazon fluctuate

If you only need it a few months of the year at pixie_hez 's suggestion is best
